As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, officers of Khelvachauri District Division of Adjara Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of conducted operational measures and investigative actions, detained a Ukrainian citizen, O.S., born in 2002, on charges of illegal purchase and storage of a large amount of narcotic drugs and attempted illegal sale.
The committed crime envisions up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
Law enforcement officers seized a large amount of the narcotic drug “Methadone” from the defendant, as a result of the personal search as well as search activities held in his temporary residence and locations indicated by him.
As a result of the search of the defendant's temporary residence, the police also seized electric scales and materials necessary for packaging narcotics as evidence.
The investigation is in progress under Articles 260 and 19-260 (3) of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
