As a result of joint operational measures and investigative actions conducted by the officers of Imereti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Kutaisi City Police Department, T.Ch., born in 1990, who had a previous conviction, was detained for premeditated murder.
The committed crime envisions up to 15 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that on May 19 of the current year, the accused person, on the basis of a mutual dispute in Kutaisi, inflicted multiple injuries on his neighbor - I.Kh., born in 1970, with a cold weapon and fled the scene.
As a result of the immediate investigative actions conducted by law enforcement officers, the accused person T.Ch. was arrested.
Police seized the weapon used to commit the crime - a knife - as evidence.
An investigation into the fact of premeditated murder is underway under Article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
