As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, officers of Adjara Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained a citizen of the Republic of Turkey - S.B., born in 1991, on charges of drug trafficking.
The detainee is charged with illegal purchase and storage of a large amount of cocaine and marijuana.
The committed crimes envision up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
Law enforcement officers seized a large amount of cocaine and dried marijuana as evidence during the personal search of the detainee and the place of temporary residence located in Batumi.
The investigation is in progress under Article 260 and Article 273 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
