As a result of various operational measures and investigative actions, officers of Didube-Chughureti and Vake-Saburtalo Police Main Divisions under Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested 5 people on drug-related charges.
T.Sh., born in 2002, M.J., born in 2006, A.Q., born in 2003, R.Ch., born in 2002, and L.K., born in 1989, who had a previous conviction, were arrested on charges of illegal purchase and storage of a particularly large amount of narcotic drugs, attempted sale and preparation for sale, as well as purchase, storage and attempted sale of marijuana.
The committed crime envisions up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
As a result of the personal search and search activities held in residential homes, as well as during the investigative experiment, law enforcement officers seized the narcotics "Methadone" and "Dried Marijuana" placed for sale as evidence from the locations indicated by them.
As a result of the investigative actions, the police also seized materials necessary for packing narcotics, adhesive tapes and polyethylene bags.
The investigation is underway under Articles 260, 18-260 (3), 19-260 (3) and 273 (1) of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
