As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, officers of the Main Division for Combating Illicit Drug Trafficking of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested 5 individuals on charges of selling drug.
The following individuals have been arrested on charges of illegal purchase, storage and sale of various types of narcotic drugs committed by group with prior agreement: G.M., born in 1996; D.V., born in 1981; Jordanian citizen B.A., born in 2001; and previously convicted individuals: R.M., born in 1981; Zh.D., born in 1991.
The committed crimes envision up to 17 years of imprisonment.
The police, based on a judge's ruling, conducted undercover drug purchases from individuals arrested on charges of illegal drug trafficking several times and secretly recorded the process.
Law enforcement officers seized the narcotics "heroin" and "marijuana" as a result of personal searches and search activities held in detainees' residential homes.
The investigation is ongoing under Articles 260 and 273 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
