On May 18 of the current year the First Division of Vake-Saburtalo Division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, received notification that there was shooting from a firearm in Chavchavadze Avenue, Tbilisi. As a result of operative-investigative activities conducted on the basis of the information received, it was established that the shot was made by L.R. (DoB: 1979). The law enforcers detained him for illegal purchase-keeping and carrying of firearms.
According to the initial investigation in Chavchavadze Avenue, Tbilisi, L.R and his brother Z.R. (DoB: 1981) had a conflict with G.V. (DoB: 1992); during the mentioned conflict L.R. fired from the firearm. No one was injured as a result of shooting. Police seized firearm from which the shot was made.
The investigation is in progress under the Article 236 of the Criminal Code of Georgia (illegal purchase, keeping and carrying of firearms).
