As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, officers of the Main Division for Combating Illicit Drug Trafficking under the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested 2 citizens of the Russian Federation on drug-related charges.
The following individuals are charged with illegal acquisition and storage of a particularly large amount of narcotics and illegal planting and cultivation of a plant containing narcotics in a particularly large amount: V.M., born in 1999, and A.K., born in 1997.
The committed crime envisions up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
During the personal search and residential places of those arrested on drug charges, law enforcement officers seized a particularly large amount of various types of narcotics, including: more than 7 liters of liquid "cocaine" and 40 grams of "cocaine" crystals.
The investigation established that the defendants had set up a laboratory in a temporary apartment in Tbilisi, where they used liquid "cocaine" to prepare narcotics.
As a result of the investigative actions, the police also seized materials necessary for packing narcotics.
A particularly large amount of "plant cannabis" (20 units of the plant) was seized from a special greenhouse set up for cultivating plants containing narcotics.
The investigation is in progress under Article 260, Part III, Subparagraph "A" and Article 265, Part III, Subparagraph "A” of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
