As a result of joint operational measures and investigative actions, officers of the Detectives (Operational) and Investigation Divisions of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested 2 Ukrainian citizens on drug charges.
Kh.Kh., born in 1998, and D.O., born in 1998, are charged with illegal purchase, storage, and preparation for sale of a large amount of narcotics.
The committed crime envisions up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
During the search of the personal belongings and the vehicle of those arrested on drug charges, law enforcement officers also seized a particularly large amount of narcotic drug "Methadone" - 50 packs - from the location indicated by them.
As a result of the investigative actions, the police seized an electric scale and transparent polyethylene ziplock bags as evidence.
The investigation is underway under Article 260, Part 6, Subparagraph "a" and Article 18-260, Part 7, Subparagraph "a" of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
