As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, the Detective Division of Shida Kartli Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested 2 persons on drug charges.
The following persons with previous convictions are being held on charges of illegal purchase, storage and attempted sale of large and especially large quantities of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances: G.G., born in 1992, and G.Kh., born in 1991.
The committed crimes envision up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
The police, based on a judge's ruling, secretly recorded a video of a person arrested on charges of attempting to illegally sell drugs, where the accused was placing narcotics at a predetermined location for the purpose of further sale.
During the personal search and search activities held in their residential homes and vehicles, law enforcement officers seized various types of especially large quantities of narcotics, including "cocaine", "methadone", "Subotex", "tramadol", "lyrica", "ecstasy".
The investigation is in progress under Articles 260, 19-260 and 261 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
