As a result of joint operational measures and investigative actions, officers of the Detectives (Operational) and Investigation Divisions under Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested M.E., born in 1977, for selling drugs.
The committed crime envisions up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
As a result of the personal search and search activities held in detainee’s residential home, law enforcement officers seized a particularly large amount of the drug “methadone” in the form of granules, loose mass, pills, and dried “marijuana.”
As a result of the investigative actions, the police also seized an electric scale, adhesive tapes, and cash.
The investigation is underway under Article 260, Part III, Subparagraph "A” and Article 273, Part II, of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
